The Linck framesaw infeed rollers are carried by roller bearings. Because of the high concentrations of saw dust and
dirt, these roller bearings have a relatively short life. At times they may seize and it can prove extremely difficult
to remove the rollers under these circumstances.
The roller infeed bearings were replaced by Vesconite bushes. These have given much longer life than the conventional
bearings and no problems of seizure have been experienced.
The change to Vesconite bushes resulted in the following benefits:
- Considerably longer life than conventional bearings
- No problems with seizure
